The Buffy Tarot - Fannish Fun on the Tarot Journey Welcome to 'The Buffy Tarot'! Tarot has been a personal interest of mine for several years. I practice Tarot as a tool of self-reflection and guidance, for myself and with friends. I find it helpful to focus my thoughts on my life as it is now and how it may be in the future if I continue in certain situations in certain ways. I am also a fan of the television series 'Buffy the Vampire Slayer', and after watching the entire series I became interested in the idea of a 'Buffy'-themed Tarot deck. After several months of design and more detailed consideration of 'Buffy' scenes, the images on these pages are the result. The Tarot forms a set of symbolic meanings and character archetypes, and invites us to consider our own lives in relation to those meanings. The actions, events, and characters found in 'Buffy the Vampire Slayer' encompass all of these symbols and archetypes, and likely many more. I have designed this 'Buffy' deck as an interpretation of the meanings and symbols found in the commonly known variations of the 'Rider-Waite' Tarot deck (designed by Arthur Waite and drawn by Pamela Coleman-Smith) as a foundation. You may be brand-new to the Tarot, or someone who has practiced Tarot for years. You may also be another 'Buffy' fan who is simply curious about what these cards are about. Either way, I hope that visiting this website will provide an opportunity for you to advance your interest in the Tarot, and show how the Tarot may be interpreted through everyday icons and events such as those found in popular television or film. I have designed these cards with the intent that they will form a complete Tarot deck available for personal use. You may choose to print out the card images here and either paste them onto a blank Tarot deck or playing-card deck, or print the card images and 'back' images to glue together and laminate into individual cards. Or, you may simply wish to look and enjoy. This deck is absolutely intended for personal use only, and is not intended for sale or profit. I do not claim credit for or ownership of the photographs used, only for the design of the cards themselves. If you wish to use the cards or link to them, please credit this website or carmen.sandiego.online@gmail.com, or contact me via email if you have any questions.

If you wish to use the cards or link to them, please credit this website or carmen.sandiego.online@gmail.com Images: Unless otherwise noted, the original images used to form the design on the cards are taken from video screen captures from the website http://www.screencap-paradise.com. If you decide to print out a set of cards for your own use, I invite you to visit their website and donate to them via PayPal, since this deck would not have been possible without the use of these photographs. The Cards' Meanings and Interpretation: Like many 'novelty' or contemporary alternative Tarot decks, I have used the commonly-known 'Rider-Waite' deck as the basis of my representation for each card. The keywords I have identified for each card reflect this, although in many cases the images may reflect certain keywords more than others. (For more about the cards and their history, see the 'Links' section). The sources I have relied on the most, in interpreting the Rider-Waite deck, include:
